TEACHING

My classroom is a safe space. I participate in instructional development to support students' diverse needs: Mental Health First Aid, Ally for Justice-Impacted Students Training, Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training, LGBTQ+ Ally Training, and Trans Inclusion Training.

With mental health crises in higher education, I believe my job as an educator is to create spaces for growth to occur. To do this, my teaching philosophy values transparency, cultivates comfort, and reduces uncertainty.

I currently teach MGMT 3500: Applied (Management) Communication at California State University - San Bernardino.

This writing intensive course focuses on written and oral communication skills and theories relevant to organizations and leaders. Assignments, such as the job market simulation, enable students to practice their communication skills and build confidence in themselves as communicators in business and professional environments.
