ABOUT ME

For 13+ years, I have studied people in organizations: how we make meaning, share understanding, and pursue collective goals through communication. My work explores how individuals and groups connect, collaborate, and manage resources as they engage in resilience and overcome difficult circumstances, especially in workplace and disaster settings.

I aim to empower people and communities to improve their everyday lives by fostering curiosity, strengthening critical thinking and communication skills, and translating academic scholarship into usable insights. In the classroom, I work with undergraduate and graduate students to help them build stronger arguments and become more confident and capable writers, speakers, and organizational members.
