Social Scientist & Communication Educator
WELCOME
Bailey C. Benedict, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Management
California State University - San Bernardino
For 13 years, I have studied communication or how people make meaning and share understanding. My research examines how individuals and communities build stronger relationships and organize their social networks to help them manage uncertainty and enact resilience, especially in workplace and disaster settings.
I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in managerial communication and focus on helping people build better arguments and become more confident and competent writers and speakers. I am building a new course on leadership and followership to be offered in Fall 2025.
